Li Bei goes on line and buys coupons for meals at local restaurants, sort of like groupon. The meals are predetermined and about a third of the regular price. We used a coupon last night and had another good meal. BBQ rice and ribs, beans sprouts with bamboo, dried tofu with mushrooms and..... wait for it...... PIGEON SOUP  It looked like chicken soup except that the drumsticks were very little. I tried the broth, not bad, then after awhile tried the tried the pigeon. I had to build up my courage. Guess what..... It tastes like chicken. Well sort of. The expansion of my palate continues - if only slowly, very slowly. Off to Beijing today. Hopefully the pollution will have abated somewhat.
